About the Project
One of my favorite projects I’ve developed involved crafting a blended learning solution that focused on revitalizing existing content.
To kickstart the process, we conducted surveys targeting managers to better understand their learning preferences. The results showed a preference for shorter, self-paced courses. With this valuable insight in mind, we decided to transform a 3-hour instructor-led course into an innovative “sandwich style” blended learning experience. I like to call it the ‘PB & J’ Method – here’s a post to better understand the approach.
This involved an introductory virtual instructor-led (vILT) session, followed by an interactive eLearning module complemented by a guidebook, and ended with a reflection session. The end result was a dynamic and engaging learning experience tailored to meet the preferences of our target audience.
Each vILT consisted of a lean text slide deck, the eLearning course was developed in Articulate Rise with a google doc guidebook to support learning transfer. Additionally, special attention was given to providing an individualized learner experience, guaranteeing that the course remains accessible and beneficial to all participants.
